The Adelanto Saints will square off against the Loara Saxons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Adelanto comes in on three and Loara on 12.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Adelanto walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Comets with a sharp 58-36 victory on Saturday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-18.
Meanwhile, Loara didn't have too much trouble with Duarte on the road on Saturday as they won 52-35.
Loara's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Angela Ngo, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds, and Sophia Rangel, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Rangel has scored at least a third of Loara's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Laila Walker, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Adelanto has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. As for Loara, their victory bumped their record up to 20-8.
