There's no place like home for Westlake, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 15-7 margin over the Sandy Creek Patriots on Saturday. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

Westlake got a massive performance out of Alana Barrett, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave Barrett a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Raina Gantt, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.

Westlake's victory bumped their record up to 9-6-1. As for Sandy Creek, they dropped their record down to 5-17 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westlake will host Tri-Cities at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sandy Creek, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Mary Persons at 5:30 p.m.
