Freedom Christian Academy's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 15-0 margin over Northwood Temple Academy. Fans of the Patriots have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Rylan Miller made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Victoria Bryant was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Genesis Lebron also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Freedom Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .312 or higher in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Grace Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They blew past American Leadership Academy-Johnston 13-0 on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Crusaders considering their one-run performance the match before.
Like Freedom Christian Academy, Grace Christian also got a great game from a two-way player: Victoria Thomas. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Thomas was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Abby Carville and Aubrey Gunter did most of the damage at the plate: Carville went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Gunter went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Adison Gardner, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
Freedom Christian Academy's win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.2 runs. As for Grace Christian, their record is now 4-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Freedom Christian Academy hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Grace Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Everything went Freedom Christian Academy's way against Grace Christian in their previous meeting on Thursday, as Freedom Christian Academy made off with a 9-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Freedom Christian Academy since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
