It was a good run, but the Ripon Christian Knights unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 36-24 to Central Catholic. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ripon Christian has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Ripon Christian had strong showings from Reagan Van der hoek, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds, and Maddie Yonker, who scored seven points along with six rebounds. Yonker scored a full 29.2% of Ripon Christian's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kara Kessler, who scored four points.
Ripon Christian's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Central Catholic, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Ripon Christian and Hughson will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hughson is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Central Catholic, they will challenge East Union at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
