The Pine-Richland Rams lost to the North Catholic Trojans back in January of 2022, but the Pine-Richland Rams didn't allow the North Catholic Trojans the same satisfaction on Saturday. Pine-Richland walked away with a 42-34 victory over the Trojans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Pine-Richland.
Leading Pine-Richland to victory were Madison Zavasky and Catherine Gentile. Zavasky scored 13 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Gentile scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. Gentile is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Aubree Bennett was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Pine-Richland's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-11. As for North Catholic, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-5.
Pine-Richland will play host again and welcome the Knights, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Norwin is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games. North Catholic will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Knights at 7:00 p.m. on February 8th. Knoch will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 247th, while the Trojans are ranked 105th).
