The Downey Knights's game  last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Tuesday. They managed a  37-31 victory over Enochs. This was payback for Downey, who suffered a  47-39  defeat the last time these two teams met.
 Downey got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Nathalia Soto out in front who  dropped  a double-double on ten points and 11  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alexis Monroy, who  scored 12 points along with five  rebounds and two  steals.
 Enochs' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Gurleen Gill, who  scored eight points along with 16  rebounds and six  steals. Gill hasn't dropped below two  blocks for four straight games.  Dannielle Warburton was another key contributor,  scoring four points along with two  steals and two  blocks.
 Even though they lost, Enochs  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 20  offensive rebounds. That's the most  offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
 Downey's win bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Enochs, they are  on a three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 5-14.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Downey will  face off against Gregori at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The timing is sure in Gregori's favor as the  squad sits on three straight wins at home while Downey has been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season. As for Enochs, they will  face off against Turlock at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Turlock will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
