The Analy Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Cardinal Newman at home and fell 71-12. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Analy has scored all season.
abby silvestrich was Analy's leading scorer, having posted three points.
Lilly Frere took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with an assist.
Analy's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-11. As for Cardinal Newman, the victory (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 18-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Analy will take on Montgomery at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Montgomery is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Cardinal Newman, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Priory at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Priory will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while Cardinal Newman is ranked ninth).
