Basketball Recap: Brandon Jennings Key Part of a Team Effort in Ambassadors Win

Psalms Christian Academy hadn't done well against Mount Olive Christian recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Psalms Christian Academy Ambassadors took down Mount Olive Christian 50-35. This was a revenge game for the Ambassadors: when they faced off against Mount Olive Christian back in November of 2024, they had to take a 60-43 loss.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Psalms Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brandon Jennings, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards. What's more, Jennings also racked up three blocks, the most he's had since back in November of 2023. Another player making a difference was Wesley Woods, who posted seven points along with 15 rebounds and four blocks.

Despite the loss, Mount Olive Christian still got an impressive performance from Dylan Lewis, who dropped a double-double on 35 points and 11 boards. That was a full 100% of Mount Olive Christian's points, marking the 31st time in a row he's scored more than a third of the team's points.

Psalms Christian Academy's record is now 9-7. As for Mount Olive Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-21 record this season.

Psalms Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 33-26 victory against Varsity Opponent on the 24th. As for Mount Olive Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 68-23 defeat against ARC Academy on the 21st.
