work? Nominees are selected from
statistics submitted on MaxPreps. Coaches who do not have current access may
request their free account here.
Weekly finalists are released on MaxPreps every
Tuesday and voting is conducted in a special poll.
Voting ceases at noon on Mondays. The winners are announced the next day
along with the next week's nominees.

* Owen Jurjavcic, East Palestine
FootballSenior carried the ball 31 times for 314
yards and five TDs and completed 11-of-15 passes for 131 yards and a TD
in a 42-27 win over David Anderson. Also had five tackles and a forced
fumble. Has run for 825 yards and 11 TDs and thrown for 382 yards and
five TDs for the 3-1 Bulldogs.

Joshua Byers, Danville FootballSenior
had 25 tackles (12 solo), four TFL and a rushing TD in a 20-8 win over
Mt. Gilead. His 72 tackles ranks No. 2 nationally. Averaging 18
tackles-per-game.
* Daylee Sandlin, Greeneview (Jamestown) Girls
SoccerJunior had 11 goals and four assists in wins
over Springfield Catholic Central, Dayton Christian and Unioto. Her 22
goals ranks 15th
nationally.

* Zebulin Kinsey, Toronto FootballSenior quarterback and Cincinnati recruit completed 13-of-14 passes for 435 yards and seven TDs in a 53-13 win over Oak Glen.
* Blake Wagener, Maumee Boys SoccerSenior had seven goals and an assist in an 11-0 win over Eastwood and four goals and three assists in an 11-3 win over Bowsher. His 31 goals and 75 points this season currently rank second in Ohio and sixth nationally. Has 273 career points (112 goals and 49 assists).
* Nathan Hemberger, Western Reserve (Berlin Center) FootballSenior surpassed 300 career tackles with 22 in a 41-22 win over Lowellville. Has 85 tackles and eight TFL this season and 303 tackles and 39 TFL for his career.
* Andrea Ryan, John F. Kennedy Catholic (Warren) Girls SoccerSophomore continued her scoring onslaught with games of four, three and four goals in wins over Lake Center Christian, Ursuline and Newton Falls, respectively. Has 52 points this season and 163 (79 goals and five assists) in her career.
* Nolan Hopson, Hardin Northern (Dola) FootballSenior scored 32 points (five TDs and two PATs) in a 38-15 win over Perry. Closing in on 400 career points (has 397). Currently averaging 10.7 points per game in 37 career games.
* Riley Thomas, Strasburg-Franklin VolleyballSenior went over 1,000-career kills with 25 in 3-2 win over Coldwell. Also had a career-high 32 kills the match before in a 3-1 win over Conotton Valley. Has 1,003 career kills, 635 digs and 252 blocks.
* Leah McCloskey, Huntington (Chillicothe) VolleyballSenior had 60 assists and 12 digs in a 3-2 win over Unioto and 54 assists and 16 digs in a 3-2 win over Zane Trace. Her 473 assists this season currently ranks 8th in Ohio. Has 1,721 assists and 589 digs
* Brady Sutton, Western Brown (Mt. Orab) FootballSenior completed 31-of-48 passes for 316 yards and five TDs and carried the ball 16 times for 107 yards and two TDs in a 56-49 loss to Miami Trace. His 1,970 total yards leads Ohio and ranks fifth nationally.

for the state-lead with 24

quarterback carried the ball 16 times for 341 yards and three TDs in a
55-34 win over Dalton. His TDs came on ruins of three, 70 and 54 yards.
The victory was head coach Tiger LaVerde’s
250th.

* Josh Schnetzer, New Miami (Hamilton)
FootballSenior had a remarkable all-around game in a
40-20 win over Manchester. Intercepted three passes, averaged 34.7
yards on three kickoffs and returned one 82 yards for a TD and caught
four passes for 61 yards and a
TD.
* Alyse Christopher, Mt. Vernon
VolleyballSenior had 48, 42 and 42 assists in a loss
to Johnstown Northridge, a win over Watkins Memorial and a loss to
Newark, respectively. Her 260 assists ranks second in Ohio this
season.
* Nick Sylvia, Wheelersburg Boys
SoccerJunior moved to within two points of 200 for
his career with five goals in a 9-0 win over McDermott Northwest. Also
had four goals and two assists in a 12-0 win over Waverly. His 16 goals
currently ranks fifth nationally and his 35 points is seventh (and
second in the state).
* Vivian Henninger, Fairfield (Leesburg) Girls
SoccerSophomore scored five goals in a 12-0 win over
McDermott Northwest. Earlier this season she had four goals and three
assists in an 11-0 win over Peebles. Her 38 points and 16 goals
currently leads the state.
* Grady Kinsey, Indian Valley (Gnadenhutten)
FootballJunior surpassed 3,000 career rushing yards
with 298 and five TDs in a 62-21 win over Meadowbrook. Ran the ball 14
times for a 21.3-yard per carry average. Went for 217 yards and four TDs
in a 51-8 Week 1 win over Ellet. Carer numbers read 3,141 yards rushing
and 53 total TDs (with 50
rushing).

VolleyballSenior had 61 assists in a 3-2 win over
Mayfield and 44 assists in a 3-2 win over North Royalton. Her 334
assists ranks third in Ohio this season. Has 1,291 career
assists.
* Maci Brown, Danbury (Lakeside)
VolleyballSenior had 42 digs in a 3-2 loss to St.
Joseph Central Catholic. Currently leads the state of Ohio with 300 digs
this season. Has 1,304 career
digs.
* Trey Moore, Wellington
FootballJunior had 27 tackles, a sack and fumble
recovery in a 21-14 win over Plymouth. Has 58 tackles in three games
this season.
