Pacific extended their losing streak to four on Wednesday, dropping them down to 2-5-1. They came up short against the Indian Springs COYOTES, falling 14-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 15-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.
Anthony Madrid made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Roberto Urrea was another key player, earning two runs and four stolen bases.
As for Indian Springs, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Considering they have won three games by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
On Indian Springs' side, Jacob Aguilar was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Aguilar was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.
In other batting news, Alejandro Hermosillo was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Frankie Hernandez, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
Coming up, Pacific will host San Bernardino at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Indian Springs, they will venture away from home to challenge Entrepreneur at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The COYOTES' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 9.7 runs per game this season.
