Sayre was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. The  game between them and the Williamson Warriors didn't end well, with the Sayre Redskins falling  46-27. The Redskins were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting  back in January of 2024.

 Rylee Lantz and  Reghan McGaughey certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss.  Lantz  posted six points and 13  rebounds, while  McGaughey  had six  points. Lantz is  on a roll when it comes to  boards, as she's  now  pulled down nine or more in the last three games she's  played.
 Even though they lost, Sayre  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 13  offensive rebounds. That's the most  offensive boards they've managed all season.
 It was another big night for  Kenna Thomas, who  dropped  a double-double on 13  points and 17  boards for Williamson.  Aubrey Wells was another key player,  putting up four  points and eight  rebounds.
Sayre's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Williamson,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 3-4.
 Sayre wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  match,  a  63-21  defeat against Wyalusing Valley on the 6th. As for Williamson, they also  didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  50-13  victory against Galeton on the 6th.
