 Cruz Hernandez made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases and two  runs. He has become a key player for South Tahoe: the team is 5-1 when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 2-16 otherwise.
 In other pitching news,  Kyle Herrera looked comfortable as he went 3-for-4 with four  RBI, two  doubles,  and one  stolen base. Those  four  RBI gave  him a new career-high.
 Back at the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Stone Chavarri, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with two  stolen bases, one  run,  and one  RBI.
South Tahoe pushed their record up to 7-17 with the  win, which was their third straight  at home. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Sparks,  they are  on  an  11-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-22.
