The Vista del Lago Eagles can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Monday. They really took it to El Camino for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-16 victory on the road. 62 seems to be a good number for Vista del Lago as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Ella Skrzyniarz was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below 15 points for 16 straight games. Another player making a difference was Emma Lyons, who scored 11 points.
Calista Wold and Noelle Potratz certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Wold scored 12 points along with two steals, while Potratz scored four points along with nine rebounds and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wold has scored all season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, El Camino struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Vista del Lago pulled down 12 offensive rebounds.
Vista del Lago's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for El Camino, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.
Vista del Lago will be playing in front of their home fans against Rio Americano at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Vista del Lago is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.5 points per game this season. As for El Camino, they will head out on the road to take on Christian Brothers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. El Camino will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 589th, while Christian Brothers is ranked 120th).
