The Ellis Railroaders will square off against the Wichita County Indians at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their  games after big wins in their previous games.
Ellis is headed in fresh off scoring the most  points they have   all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Ness City 58-8. With the Railroaders ahead  52-8 at the half, the  contest was all but over already.

 Baylor Born and  Carson Schartz were among the main playmakers for Ellis as the former threw for 101 yards and five  TDs while completing 91.7% of his passes and the latter rushed for 113 yards and a pair of  scores on only ten carries. That's the most  rushing yards  Schartz has posted since back in September of 2024.
 Ellis' defense stepped up as well, laying out  Braddix Bozarth three times. Leading the way was  Schartz with  two sacks. Ellis received some extra help from  Schartz, whose fumble return for a touchdown  made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, Wichita County waltzed into their matchup  on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They breezed past the Bulldogs to the tune of  50-0. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 46  points or more this season.
Ellis better keep an eye on  Cashton Young. He was instrumental in Wichita County's win, rushing for 323 yards and seven  touchdowns while picking up 14.7 yards per carry. Young was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 65 yards.
 Wichita County was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 379  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 198  rushing yards in six consecutive  contests.
