On Friday, the Sandia Matadors faced the Farmington Scorpions in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Sandia fell 66-55 to Farmington. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, Sandia still got an impressive performance from Thomas Adams, who scored 15 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Adams hasn't dropped below two steals for 11 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaire Ndyabagye, who scored 13 points.

Farmington's road trip will continue as they head out to face West Mesa at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. West Mesa will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Farmington surely won't give up without a fight.
