The Willows Honkers had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Live Oak 47-27. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Willows has posted against Live Oak since February 5, 2019.
Willows can attribute much of their success to Kyleigh Goppert, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Goppert has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Karla Sandoval DiMaggio, who scored eight points.
Willows' victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Live Oak, they bumped their record down to 2-13 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Willows will take on Paradise at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
