The Coast Union Broncos's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Coastal Christian on the road and fell 65-6. Coast Union has struggled against the Conquerors recently, as their match on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Coastal Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maggie Moore led the charge by scoring 13 points along with two steals. Moore has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Abby Malley, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Coast Union has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Coastal Christian, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
Coast Union does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Coastal Christian and the Jesters will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Saint Joseph focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday.
