It was a good run, but the Northwestern Lehigh Tigers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 54-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Saucon Valley. Northwestern Lehigh lost against Saucon Valley in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 61-48 score last time.
Saucon Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Adam Clark led the charge by scoring 14 points along with six rebounds. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Robertson, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Northwestern Lehigh's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Saucon Valley, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwestern Lehigh won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Pen Argyl at 6:45 p.m. on January 5th. Pen Argyl will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 669th, while Northwestern Lehigh is ranked 290th). As for Saucon Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southern Lehigh at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
