Coalinga came tearing into Friday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the North Salinas Vikings with a sharp 55-34 victory. The Horned Toads have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 20 points or more this season.

Coalinga's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alikah Rafiu, who posted 18 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. What's more, Rafiu also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in January. Another player making a difference was Jaelyn Bourdeau, who went 7 for 17 on her way to 20 points and five rebounds.

Coalinga smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 33 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Coalinga's record now sits at 12-2. As for North Salinas, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coalinga didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-35 win against Santa Maria on the 28th. As for North Salinas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 46-25 defeat against King City on the 28th.
