Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Cairo). They blew past the Westover Patriots 10-0 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Syrupmakers, who have now won four matchups by three  goals or more  so far this season.
Their offense was hitting Westover from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal.  Julio Matias led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.
Cairo's victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero  goals over those three  contests. As for Westover,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-4.
 Looking ahead, Cairo will challenge Monroe at 7:30  p.m.  on March 11th. As for Westover, they will venture away from home to  challenge Bainbridge  at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Westover has given up an average of 6.2 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
