Softball Recap: Chapel Hill's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Chapel Hill's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 19-6 margin over the Westlake Lions. The victory was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Autumn Hollis was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. Hollis was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Chapel Hill got a massive performance out of Nyla Henson, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double. That's the most stolen bases Henson has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Walker, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one triple.

Chapel Hill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .767. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Chapel Hill's win bumped their record up to 6-21. As for Westlake, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-9-2 record this season.
