On Wednesday, the Williams Yellowjackets kept a clean sheet against the Durham Trojans. They came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Williams also won the last time the pair played back in January.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Melanie Lopez and
Daisy Ruiz, who scored both of Williams' goals. The pair have combined for a total of 13 so far this season.
Williams' victory bumped their record up to 5-7-3. As for Durham, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11-1.
Williams will be playing in front of their home fans against Maxwell at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Durham, they will head out on the road to square off against Hamilton at 3:15 a.m. on Friday. Durham's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
