After failing to score in their last game, St. Joseph Notre Dame made sure to put some goals up on the board against Valley Christian on Tuesday. They blew past the Vikings 7-2. With St. Joseph Notre Dame ahead 3-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.
They hit Valley Christian with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Mariah Pulido Estrada (3),
Kaitlin Amaro (2), and
Annasophia Pulido Estrada (2).
Meanwhile, Redwood Christian has been struggling as of late, and they have yet to win a game this season. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 4-1 walloping at the hands of Making Waves Academy on Tuesday.
St. Joseph Notre Dame now has a winning record of 7-6-2. As for Redwood Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 0-10-2 record this season.
St. Joseph Notre Dame came out on top in a nail-biter against Redwood Christian in their previous matchup back in January, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Joseph Notre Dame since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
