The Woodrow Wilson Bruins will venture away from home to take on the Los Alamitos Griffins at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Woodrow Wilson is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Cabrillo 8-2 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Nathaniel Parris

03/07/25 @ Downey | 1 |

Nathaniel Parris made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits.
In other batting news, Rudy Carlos was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Cooper George was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Woodrow Wilson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Los Alamitos got themselves on the board against Ocean View on Wednesday, but Ocean View never followed suit. They were the clear victor by a 9-0 margin over the Seahawks. The Griffins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by six runs or more this season.
SEAN KASSAWARA tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That hit marked the first that he allowed this season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on SUTTON DENINNO, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2. Those stolen bases marked the first that he snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of DEVIN PORCH, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.
Los Alamitos' win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Woodrow Wilson, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.
Woodrow Wilson skirted past Los Alamitos 4-3 in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Woodrow Wilson since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
