Bonita Vista is 10-0 against Eastlake since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Bonita Vista Barons will look to defend their home court against the Eastlake Titans at 6:30 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Bonita Vista posted their biggest win since November 25, 2023 on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Steele Canyon 61-28 at home.
Bonita Vista found their leader in underclassman Bayanai Cordova, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Cordova is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mahliya Wilson, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Eastlake posted their closest win yet this season on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 50-48 win over Academy of Our Lady of Peace.
Bonita Vista has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-11 record this season. As for Eastlake, their win bumped their record up to 12-10.
