Minneota had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They captured a comfortable 23-8 win over Sleepy Eye. That result is just more of the same for Minneota, who also won the last time these teams played. This was the first game for both teams, giving Minneota a 1-0 record and starting Sleepy Eye off at 0-1.
Next week, Minneota take on Dawson-Boyd at 7:00 PM. Sleepy Eye are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against New Ulm Cathedral next week at 7:00 PM.
