The University Trailblazers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They walked away with a 91-80 victory over Faith Christian. The win was a breath of fresh air for University as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Bryce Gray was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with seven steals and six assists. The match was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Montgomery Holland, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Faith Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Connor Todhunter-dawson. Despite the final result, he scored 32 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sam Peter, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Even though they lost, Faith Christian were working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
University's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Faith Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University will take on Indianapolis Scecina Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
