After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northgate, Spalding was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Woodland Wolfpack with a sharp 17-7 win. With that victory, the Jaguars brought their scoring average up to 7.3 runs per game.

Spalding got a massive performance out of Jaden Miller, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Malinkhi Sims, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Spalding always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .591. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Spalding's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Woodland, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Spalding will head out to face off against Rock Springs Christian Academy at 5:55 p.m. on Friday. As for Woodland, they will host McDonough at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Woodland has given up an average of 11.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
