Make it 13 blowout wins for the Garey Vikings this season. They claimed a resounding 76-20 win over Ganesha at home. Winning may never get old, but Garey sure is getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
Garey got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aaliyah (AJ) Jones out in front who scored 23 points along with eight assists and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jones has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Armani Owens, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Garey's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Ganesha, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.
Garey will head out on the road to face off against La Puente at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. La Puente comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last six games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Ganesha, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Bassett at 4:45 p.m. Bassett is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
