Analy is 9-1 against Healdsburg since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Greyhounds at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Analy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 18-run drubbing they dealt Clear Lake on Wednesday. The Tigers never let the Cardinals get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by eight runs or more this season.
Analy got a great performance from Gabe Franci as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. What's more, Franci posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025.
Analy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Healdsburg won against Sonoma Academy on Tuesday with 17 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Greyhounds beat Lick-Wilmerding by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 17-1. The Greyhounds haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Henry Smith made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, Mason Radelfinger was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Hayden Mariani was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Analy's record now sits at 5-3. As for Healdsburg, their record is now 7-2.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Analy has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Healdsburg struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.8 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Analy beat Healdsburg 5-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Greyhounds have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
