After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ravenscroft, St. Mary's were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Chatham Hall 41-10 at home. That looming 41-10 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for St. Mary's yet this season.
Among those leading the charge was Helen Newcomb, who scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Sottini, who scored six points.
The win got St. Mary's back to even at 6-6. As for Chatham Hall, they bumped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
St. Mary's won't have much time to rest: their next match is against North Raleigh Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 12th. As for Chatham Hall, they will be playing in front of their home fans against New Covenant at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
