Basketball Recap: Avenal Wins Going Away Against Tranquillity

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mendota, Avenal was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Tranquillity Tigers as the Avenal Buccaneers made off with a 41-20 victory. The Buccaneers haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Isabela Camacho and Shoensta Malelando certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Camacho posted 11 points, while Malelando had seven points.

Avenal's victory bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Tranquillity, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 15 of their last 17 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-23 record this season.

Coming up, Avenal will take on Lindsay at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Tranquillity does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
