There's no place like home for Appling County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Tattnall County Warriors an 8-0 shutout on Thursday. Considering the Pirates have won four games by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Appling County's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Tattnall County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Appling County will venture away from home to square off against Ware County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Pirates are facing the Gators at the right time seeing as the Gators are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Tattnall County, they will face off against Pierce County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
