The Sharpsville Blue Devils scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 62-32 win over Slippery Rock. Sharpsville has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 30 points or more this season.
Lily Palko was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 26 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Ramsey, who scored 13 points.
Slippery Rock lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Madison Romanovich, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Belle Miller was another key contributor, scoring four points.
Sharpsville is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for Slippery Rock, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Sharpsville will face off against Hickory at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Slippery Rock, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Franklin at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday. Franklin is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
