The Ridgeview Wolf Pack's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell to Independence 51-45. Ridgeview was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Several Wolf Pack players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kenadi Walton, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Nevaeh Beserra, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Independence to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaylynn Bolden, who scored eight points along with 18 rebounds and five assists. Bolden has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 18 times she's played. Olivia Fletcher was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with four steals.
Ridgeview now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Independence, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-11 record this season.
Ridgeview has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Drillers at 6:30 p.m. on February 5th. As for Independence, they will head out on the road to take on the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Stockdale has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while the Falcons will arrive with three straight victories.
