After losing to the Sonoma Valley Dragons the last time they met, the Justin-Siena Braves decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Justin-Siena snuck past Sonoma Valley with a 38-33 win on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Justin-Siena.
Justin-Siena got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordan Washington out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Naveena Jackson, who scored eight points along with 13 rebounds and five blocks.
Justin-Siena has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season. As for Sonoma Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-8.
Justin-Siena will be playing in front of their home fans against Lower Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Justin-Siena is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in California (they are ranked 134th, while Lower Lake is ranked 653rd). Sonoma Valley will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against American Canyon on February 16th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in California (American Canyon is ranked 237th, while Sonoma Valley is ranked 242nd).
