The New Creation Christian Academy Crusaders will square off against the Unity Christian Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New Creation Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.
Unity Christian will be up against a hot New Creation Christian Academy team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. New Creation Christian Academy came out on top against Young Americans Christian by a score of 4-1 on Thursday. While the Crusaders didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Micah Stewart made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Those 15 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Nolan Hyde was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Chase Jones was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Unity Christian came up short against Cornerstone Christian on Saturday, falling 17-7.
William Wilson and Hayden Darnell stepped up to the plate in a big way. Wilson got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI, while Darnell scored a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Aaron Kennett also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Unity Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for New Creation Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. New Creation Christian Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 11.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Unity Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
New Creation Christian Academy beat Unity Christian 7-3 when the teams last played on Monday. Does New Creation Christian Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Unity Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
