Mingo Central lost to Westside back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Miners put the hurt on the Renegades with a sharp 32-12 win.

Mingo Central got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jamere Knuckles out in front who rushed for 64 yards and two TDs, and also threw for 237 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes. Another back making a difference was Bam Coleman, who gained 138 total yards and a touchdown.

Mingo Central's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Westside, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Mingo Central will venture away from home to take on Wayne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Westside, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Man at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
