Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Firebaugh). They claimed a resounding 53-13 win over the McLane Highlanders. The Eagles pushed the score to 41-11 by the end of the third, a deficit the Highlanders had little chance of recovering from.

McLane's loss on Saturday came despite strong showings from Jada Barber and Saraya Beltran. Barber posted five points, while Beltran put up five points.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Firebaugh, bringing their record for this year to 9-3. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.6 points per game. As for McLane, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.

Firebaugh wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 34-24 loss against Madera South on the 3rd. As for McLane, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 36-22 win against Riverdale on the 3rd.
