Baseball Recap: Foothill Wins Going Away Against Lincoln

Foothill picked up another tournament win on Monday. They put the hurt on the Lincoln Cardinals with a sharp 10-1 win.

Foothill got a great performance from Grady Wright as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Wright has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Sean Green was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Gavin Lauridsen was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Foothill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Foothill's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Lincoln, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Foothill will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Lakeridge at 3:00 p.m. As for Lincoln, they will take on Alta Loma at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
