River Valley had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the West Shamokin Wolves 60-27  on Wednesday. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 21  games by 20  points or more this season.
River Valley had a senior duo take command as  Ava Persichetti  posted 17  points along with six  assists and five  boards and  Morgan Cole  dropped  a double-double with 17 points and ten  rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most  points  Cole has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Maddie Twinchek, who  went 5-for-9  on her way to 11 points and seven  rebounds.
 River Valley  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 17  offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least eight  offensive rebounds in three consecutive  contests.
River Valley pushed their record up to 25-0 with the  victory, which was their 14th straight  at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.5 points over those games. As for West Shamokin, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost 14 of their last 16 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record  this season.
 River Valley will challenge Cambria Heights at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. Cambria Heights will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  win, something River Valley surely won't give up without a fight. West Shamokin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
