The Scituate Spartans are on the road again  on Saturday to play the Blackstone Valley Prep PRIDE at 11:00  a.m. Scituate is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7  runs per game  this season.
 Scituate's hitters will try to repeat the strong performance they gave  on Thursday, when they got past Classical's usually-dominant pitching crew. Scituate put the hurt on Classical with a sharp  14-0 win.
  Travis Howman was a major factor no matter where he played. He  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Howman has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  tossed less than nine  strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances. Howman was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Kaiden Durand was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4.  Mathew Spaziano was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Blackstone Valley Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight  defeat. They lost  12-0 to West Warwick.
 Scituate now  has a winning record of 6-5. As for Blackstone Valley Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.
 Everything went Scituate's way against Blackstone Valley Prep in their previous matchup  back in May of 2023 as Scituate made off with  a  12-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Scituate since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
