Softball Recap: Southmoore Wins Going Away Against Jenks

Southmoore's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Jenks Trojans as they made off with a 10-3 victory. Considering the SaberCats have won four games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Southmoore has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Jenks, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Southmoore and Jenks should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. The SaberCats will challenge Guthrie at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (40 vs. 165). Meanwhile, Jenks (ranked 90th) will meet Union (ranked 214th) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
