The North Monterey County Condors were the 40-38 winner over the St. Francis Sharks when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. North Monterey County fell to St. Francis 48-43.
Emily Raich continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for St. Francis, scoring 26 points along with six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Raich has scored all season. Maya Calfee was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
North Monterey County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for St. Francis, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.
North Monterey County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Notre Dame at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Francis, they will head out on the road to challenge Gilroy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Gilroy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 950th, while St. Francis is ranked 459th).
