The North Monterey County Condors will venture away from home to square off against the Everett Alvarez Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (North Monterey County has three straight wins, Everett Alvarez has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
North Monterey County barely beat Rancho San Juan the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Condors never let the Trailblazers get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory on Friday.

Jered Kallenberger made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Julian Barajas was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Tyler Baldwin was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
North Monterey County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Everett Alvarez didn't have quite enough to beat Greenfield on Friday and fell 2-1.
Devin Pedersen was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Cody Victoriano, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.
Everett Alvarez's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for North Monterey County, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
North Monterey County beat Everett Alvarez 7-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Condors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
