University got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Edniya White out in front who went 5 of 8 on her way to 14 points and seven steals. White is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last 16 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalina Lambert, who posted 16 points and three steals.
Having lost for the first time this season, Memphis School of Excellence Winchester fell to 7-1. As for University, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Memphis School of Excellence Winchester will welcome City University School of Liberal Arts at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for University, they will look to defend their home court on January 14th against Booker T. Washington at 6:00 p.m.
