The Johnstown Christian Bluejays won the last time they faced the Calvary Christian Academy Conquerors, and things went their way on Thursday too. Johnstown Christian walked away with a 41-28 victory over Calvary Christian Academy. The win made it back-to-back wins for Johnstown Christian.
Several Conquerors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Macayla Mills, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 18 rebounds. Mills is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bethany Suttles, who scored six points along with three steals and two blocks.
Johnstown Christian's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. As for Calvary Christian Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Johnstown Christian will take on Blair County Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Calvary Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Centre County Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th.
