The Heritage Patriots can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent match on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 76-18 victory over JW North on the road. Given Heritage's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 255th, while JW North is ranked 909th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sierra Maxwell was her usual excellent self, scoring 39 points along with nine steals and eight rebounds. That makes it 18 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Heritage's points. Another player making a difference was Mariah Logan, who scored 16 points along with seven steals and five rebounds.
The victory (which was Heritage's third in a row) raised their record to 16-9. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 42.33 points. As for JW North, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-17.
Heritage will be playing at home against Moreno Valley at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Moreno Valley's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven contests. As for JW North, they will head out on the road to challenge Temescal Canyon at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
