The Mt. St. Joseph Academy Magic won the last time they faced the Methacton Warriors, and things went their way on Saturday too. Mt. St. Joseph Academy managed a 46-42 victory over Methacton.
Despite the loss, Methacton still got an impressive performance from Abby Arnold, who shot 4-for-10 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 30 points and 10 rebounds. Arnold scored a full 71.4% of Methacton's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Sydney Hockenbrock, who scored 5 points along with 4 steals.
The win got Mt. St. Joseph Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Methacton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. St. Joseph Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Agnes Irwin at 5:30 p.m. on December 8th. As for Methacton, they will take on Bayard Rustin at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Bayard Rustin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Saturday.
