This season hasn't been kind to the Bovina Mustangs, who are still winless after their ninth game. They suffered a tough 54-34 loss at the hands of Eula on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Bovina can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1277th, while Eula is ranked 179th).
Loss or not, Bovina got some senior leadership from Miguel Lopez who scored 9 points and Andrew Garcia who scored 7 points.
Bovina's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Eula, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Bovina will face off against Hart at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Eula won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against All Saints Episcopal School at 4:30 p.m. on December 8th. All Saints Episcopal School is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
